LCD has a very bright light and shining through a small LCD display.

DLP has a very bright light and a series of small mirrors, which can set back.

The LCD screen will turn yellow over time and is the contrast ratio of brightness to sacrifice. DLP displays are often sacrificed for the brightness, color rendition.

They will probably use to mercury vapor lamps light sources. These points have a short life (2000 hours to 5 hours per day is 400 days) about 3 bulbs per school and are expensive to replace. Also, remember that you need about twice as large as the image at a distance from the projector screen. For a bedroom may not be able obtain a comprehensive picture.
